Job Summary :
- Project: Build highly complex, new K-12 online learning platform within a large, publicly traded company (start-up mentality).
- Team/Pod: Data, Integrations & Reporting (ELTs, Schemas, Data Movement)
- Core Mandate: Safely and scalably move data in and out of systems, ensuring compliance and migration viability.
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop backend and integration solutions using Python.
- Interface and integrate with multiple external LMS APIs (e.g., Blackboard, PowerSchool).
- Extract and import/export data between systems (e.g., Snowflake, SSIS).
- Ensure schema validation, data quality, and data reconciliation.
- Work on state and educational reporting requirements.
- Support document extraction and handling of various data formats (e.g., physical note data).
- Collaborate with Data Engineers on ML/AI data pipelines (e.g., absenteeism data normalization).
- Tech Stack:
- Python, FastAPI, JSON
- AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EKS, Cognito)
- Docker, Terraform, Jenkins
- Snowflake (as data source)
- Soft Skills:
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and a fast-paced environment.
- Resourceful and capable of mature, high-quality coding practices.
