Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, with extensive experience in various clinical settings. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing services, supporting patient recovery, and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards. Your expertise will contribute to creating a safe, respectful, and healing environment for diverse patient populations, including those with complex medical needs.

Duties

• Administer medications, injections, and treatments accurately following physician orders and established protocols.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation.
• Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, laboratory testing, and medical imaging procedures.
• Provide specialized care for patients with chronic conditions like Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory impairments.
• Manage acute pain and facilitate pain management strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Support patients requiring ventilator management, catheterization, IV infusion therapy, and wound care including suturing and sterile procedures.
• Maintain detailed medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in settings ranging from long-term care facilities to emergency rooms and hospital units to deliver seamless patient care.

Skills

• Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management.
• Critical care experience in environments such as ICU or Level I Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
• Experience working with diverse populations including pediatric (neonatal ventilator), adult, geriatric (geriatrics), and individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
• Skilled in IV insertion, phlebotomy, venipuncture, catheter care, and sterile processing techniques.
• Ability to perform physical examinations and assessments accurately while demonstrating excellent patient communication skills.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure safety across all clinical procedures.
