Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Heavy Equipment Operator to join our TEAM! As the Heavy Equipment Operator, we need someone who is ready to operate all Heavy Equipment in the Raw Material and Body Preparation areas.  

Primary Objective

Operation of all Heavy Equipment in the Raw Material and Body Preparation areas. 

Major Function and Scope

• Operation of all Heavy Equipment in the Raw Material and Body Preparation areas including front end loader, bulldozer, and skid-steer (bobcat) 
• Regular inspection of all heavy equipment and notification to manager of any issues, both mechanical and computer related, as well as scheduled maintenance needed.
• Monitors diesel requirements onsite. 
• Ability to perform most Operator 1 duties if directed to by manager or supervisor. 
• Fills in for operators while free from heavy equipment responsibilities. 
• Performs extra duties as directed by manager or supervisor while operation of heavy equipment is not necessary (Ex. Cleaning, organization, special projects, etc.) 
• 60% or more of worktime spent operating front end loader or bulldozer 

Experience and Knowledge Required

• High school diploma or equivalent experience. 
• 1-year manufacturing experience and operation of heavy equipment. 

Competencies

Excellent safety record. Good oral and written communications skills.  Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills.  Ability to understand and speak basic English.
