Job Description

A successful Parts Counter person will be committed to delivering top-notch customer service at Max Motors Dealership. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, and focused on ensuring customer needs are satisfied promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the parts inventory and anticipate parts needs for timely ordering.
• Receive and fill telephone orders for parts by interacting with customers to identify their needs.
• Ensure correct parts selection by consulting catalogs and other references.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the parts inventory.
• Supply technicians with the necessary parts effectively and efficiently.
• Follow up on back-ordered parts and ensure customers are informed about the status of their orders.
• Complete and process paperwork related to parts deliveries, returns and warranty claims.

A key aspect of this role is outstanding communication. The Parts Counter employee will liaise between customers and staff, ensuring that all parts requests are answered promptly and accurately.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in automotive or heavy equipment parts counter or related role is critical.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required; further education in a relevant field is desirable.
• Familiarity with inventory software and order processing systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to discuss technical specifics with customers and staff.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items, bend, reach, and kneel.
