Looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real difference? Amergis Educational Staffing is partnering with schools in Salem, MA to bring on a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for the 2025-2026 school year, including ESY and next school year.
Position Snapshot
Location: Salem, MA
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Part-time, 16-24 hours per week
Duration: Full 2025-2026 school year
Pay Rate: Up to $40/hour (based on experience and licensure)
What You'll Do
Provide occupational therapy support in individual, small group, and inclusive classroom settings across multiple schools
Assist the Occupational Therapist with evaluations and recommendations
Implement IEP goals and maintain accurate documentation
Adapt classroom environments, tools, and materials to enhance student participation
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families; attend meetings and trainings
Ensure compliance with special education regulations and professional standards
Maintain therapy equipment and offer staff consultation under supervision
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and work independently or as part of a team
What We're Looking For
Certified COTA with active MA licensure
Experience working with school-aged children
Reliable transportation for travel between schools
