Job Description

Vision for the Role:   The Hume Lake Painter plays a vital role in maintaining the upkeep of Hume facilities in order to ensure a distraction-free environment for campers and guests. This individual is responsible for the preparation and painting of Hume Lake facilities, which may include buildings, signs, floors, etc. in a detailed, precise manner.

The Role: 

• Preparation and painting of facilities, signs and floors. 
• Keeping accurate records in compliance of any applicable permits. (Air Pollution Control, MSDS, Etc.) 
• Follow all safety procedures and directions provided by supervisors. 
• Maintain a positive and cooperative attitude, contributing to a Christ-centered team environment. 
• Represent Hume Christian Camps’ values and mission through conduct, attitude, and service. 
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required 

Our Ideal Candidate: 

• Must be at least 18 years old at the start of Summer Camp 
• Evidenced commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel with others. 
• Minimum 2 years as a Journeyman Painter. 
• Experience with drywall patch and repair. 
• Experience with snow Removal 
• Must be able to live in Hume Lake housing. 
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. 
• Willingness to perform physical tasks and work outdoors or indoors as needed. 
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work under supervision. 
• Must agree with and support Hume Christian Camps’ Statement of Faith. 
• Must have a personal commitment to Jesus Christ and a desire to share the Gospel through word and deed. 

Physical Requirements:  

• This position must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to100 lbs. 
• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions of the job. 
• Live and work in extreme weather conditions, at high altitude, and in small living quarters.

Salary : $16.90-18.50
