Industrial Engineer (6 month contract) Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Industrial Engineer to help implement Lean frameworks and drive process improvements across our manufacturing operations. This role requires someone who can analyze workflows, conduct time studies, and develop practical solutions that enhance plant efficiency. Responsibilities + Lead Lean initiatives including Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 5S, and other methodologies. + Conduct time and motion studies to optimize efficiency. + Optimize plant layouts for enhanced flow and productivity. + Collaborate with teams to implement engineering solutions. + Support the rollout of operational frameworks and track improvements. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). + Experience in control plans, time studies, and process improvement. + Strong experience in continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing. + Expertise in manufacturing engineering and industrial engineering. + Ability to design plant layouts and conduct Time & Motion Studies, MODAPTS, or Line Balancing. Additional Skills & Qualifications + BS Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. + Experience in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement. + Skilled in hands-on problem solving. + Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Work Environment The position is fully onsite within a very clean manufacturing environment, with office cubicles attached. There are three plants: one fabrication and two assembly, with the largest being in Streetsboro. The company is expanding the existing plant, with construction expected to complete by 2026. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of streetsboro, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $52.00/hr.
