Job Title: GIS TechnicianJob Description The GIS Technician will be responsible for conducting data mining, managing large file structures, performing geometric fixes, and executing orthorectification tasks. Responsibilities + Conduct data mining to extract relevant geospatial information. + Manage and work with large file structures efficiently. + Perform geometric fixes to ensure data accuracy. + Execute orthorectification to correct geometric distortions in imagery. Essential Skills + Proficiency in ArcGIS software. + Degree in Geography or a related field. + Experience with feature extraction and geospatial analysis. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Work Environment The position is based in an office environment with open seating arrangements for 80-100 people. The dress code is laid-back, allowing jeans and t-shirts, though business casual is also acceptable. The standard work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with an option to work four 10-hour shifts if preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fort Collins, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
