Job Description

Tomasello Automotive is a reputable, customer-focused auto body repair shop specializing in collision repair and custom paintwork. We take pride in high-quality workmanship, honesty, and a supportive team environment. We are growing and looking for an experienced Auto Body Repair Technician to join our team.

Position Summary:

The auto body repair technician will be responsible for repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-standard methods. This includes structural repairs, bodywork, panel replacement, dent repair, prepping for paint, and ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform collision repairs, including panel replacement, dent repair, welding, and body filler application.
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicles as needed for thorough inspection and repair.
  • Operate frame machines, welders, sanders, and other body shop equipment.
  • Work closely with estimators and painters to ensure accurate and efficient workflow.
  • Follow OEM repair guidelines and shop safety procedures.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Document work performed and communicate progress with management.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of auto body repair experience or relevant trade school training (preferred).
  • Proficiency with body repair tools, equipment, and techniques.
  • Ability to read repair estimates. repair plans, and OEM guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • I-CAR, ASE, or manufacturer certifications are a plus (not required).
