**Job Title: A&P Mechanic**
**Job Description**
You will support aircraft maintenance, modifications, and ensure compliance with airworthiness standards. This role involves basic riveting and avionics troubleshooting, focusing on modification work.
**Responsibilities**
+ Support day-to-day maintenance operations, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with FAA and NASA regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
+ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior technicians if needed.
+ Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on Saab 340 aircraft.
+ Support assessment and disposition of aircraft squawks.
+ Support and perform complex aircraft modifications, retrofits, and system upgrades, ensuring all changes meet regulatory standards and aircraft specifications.
+ Ensure all maintenance practices comply with FAA Part 25 repair station guidelines, OEM requirements, NASA maintenance and quality assurance guidelines, and safety and EH&S policies.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, avionics, and structural issues on aircraft, when required.
**Essential Skills**
+ A&P License
+ Heavy maintenance and modification experience
+ Experience with MRO/Repair station/Depot level work
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 10+ years of experience in heavy maintenance, repair, and modification or military depot level maintenance
+ Valid driver's license
+ Computer software proficiency to manage work orders
+ Must be eligible for security clearance.

**Work Environment**
Work in a hangar environment with a flexible shift schedule. There are two shifts available: Monday-Friday from 7AM-4PM and Monday-Thursday from 2PM-12AM, with rotation every 2 weeks. The team consists of 7-8 technicians, and the goal is to transition this 6-month contract into a long-term full-time position.

This is a Contract position based out of Manassas, VA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
